Martina came to me with the question if I would like to have the honour to design her new tattoo. This tattoo design is a memory of her life in Portugal. The tattoo is inspired on two famous things:
1) The Portuguese Sardinha’s (sardines)
2) Azulejos (Portuguese blue tiles)
Combining these two typical Portuguese things, it resembles her time living and studying in Aveiro, also known as the Portuguese Venice, because of it blue canals and gondolas.
Below you can see how the design was sketched digitally, which later served as the guide for the tattoo artist.
