Deluxe – Design Agency is a fictional design company created for this assignment. In this assignment, the goal was to design a product that is integrated with light.
For our project, we defined the design brief as:
“Design an indicator, using a light-fucntion, that shows a guest in a restaurant whether a table is free to be seated.”
In other words, the guest should be able to see in a glance, which table is available to take a seat.
This product is an indicator that serves as a normal candle light, but also shows an indication wether the table is taken (red ring light) or available (green ring light). The use is really simple. To turn the light from green to red, the ober simply has to turn the product 180 degrees upside down. The light switches from green to red and indicates that the table is taken.
